Fallin\ Fallin' In Love (live) - Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds
Posted by: usafbrat50

Video duration: 285 seconds

Dedicated to Dan Hamilton. We were at a club in Mission Hills, CA when this was recorded, sorry about the quality made even worse by the slide show, I'm afraid. If anyone wants the iTunes version I can re-do it so the music is better. Anyways, the solo is by Danny and I'm on the crappy sounding synth, so sorry 'bout that....

I strained my little Amiga to the max on this arrangement and used up all of the 1 meg of memory it had. Quite a challenge back then and now it sounds stiff and mechanical with old samples but I think you can still get the gist of what I was trying to do. Yes? No?

Sometimes my knuckleball doesn't knuckle so I have to go with my second best pitch - my "fast" ball. Watching this video I could see how frustrating it would be to be my catcher...Oh well, whatareyagonna do?

Once again at the club in the Valley with Dan playing all the guitar stuff. Of course Joe on bass with John on drums. I played the sucky piano, my apologies. Please don't hold it against the guys, just listen to them sing and play.....

Here's a blues chestnut that's been in their repertoire for a long while. Done here again at the L.G.T. Vegas nightclub in a suburb of LA. Joe's singing the lead vocal with Dan on backup vocals and guitar solos. Sorry I couldn't EQ the vocals even more prominently than I did. The puny organ sound is made by, of course, me...

Recorded at a band practice somewhere south of Atlanta. We did a lot of Captain Beyond covers at the time, circa 1973. We opened for Lynyrd Skynyrd at The Great Southeast Music Hall a couple of times. Our styles were diametrically opposed but they let us share the stage with them anyhoo....

Taken from Honky Tonk by Bill Doggett this was a fun one to play. When I worked with sax player Joe Houston we did this song much faster but I prefer it slower. Thanks for comin' by!

Recorded probably in '72 at a practice, a medley of The Animals version of this Ike & Tina classic and a rockified version of an old gospel song. Lee on drums, Doug on bass, Rob on keys, me on guitfiddle and Jeff on vocals. I think the idea came to us when we opened for Wayne Cochran and watched him combine songs to entertain the crowd longer. He was definitely a crowd pleaser...

I didn't do too bad with my synth on this song compared to Winners & Losers. The part was a lot easier to play. I wanted to stick with guitar but they needed keys. The vocals by Dan & Joe were really nice. Hope you enjoy it!
